Course Objectives: 
This is a two-semester multidisciplinary course intended to provide the student competency in a thorough oral examination and the preventive dental care of children and adolescents.
Course Content: 

In this course, dental biofilm, topical fluoride applications, fissure sealants, morphological, anatomic, histological and physiological differences of primary teeth, features and functions of primary teeth, morphological, histological and physiological differences of immature permanent teeth, features of primary and permanent dentitions, malocclusions and their etiologies, normal and abnormal oral functions, preventive and interceptive orthodontic treatments, stainless steel and strip crown, early loss of primary teeth and space maintenance, eruption guidance and serial extraction, primary tooth extractions, their indications and complications, one or more tooth extractions will be discussed.
