Faculty of Dentistry

Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry is the first faculty of dentistry among Turkey’s foundation universities. Our mission is to educate modern, innovative, research-oriented dentists who are committed to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, and uphold secular and contemporary values. Together with its affiliated Dental Hospital, our faculty stands as one of the most modern educational and healthcare institutions in Turkey and is among the distinguished examples worldwide in its field.

The medium of instruction at our faculty is both Turkish and English. Students receive their preclinical training in Simulator Laboratories—the first of their kind used in dental education in Turkey—working with robotic patients. Clinical training is conducted on real patients in well-equipped and fully sterile environments. The faculty includes four operating rooms where surgeries are performed under local or general anesthesia, as well as two recovery and post-operative care units. Surgeries can be streamed live to lecture halls via intraoral and extraoral cameras, allowing students to observe and interact with the operating team in real time.

Our students benefit from state-of-the-art laboratories and clinics equipped with the latest technology in modern medicine and dentistry. Graduate and doctoral programs are also offered to support academic advancement, while scientific research is carried out in cutting-edge facilities such as the Basic Sciences Research Laboratory. The Central Sterilization Unit, designed in accordance with international standards and supervised by the Infection Control Unit, along with computer-assisted diagnostic and treatment units, ensure that patients benefit from the latest innovations in dental healthcare.
