Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry is the first Dental School of a Foundation University in Turkey. The Faculty of Dentistry was founded in 1996 and commenced its education in the 1996-1997 academic year by admitting its first students. Our Faculty aims to raise secular, contemporary, researching, and innovative dentists who are fully committed to the principles and revolutions of Atatürk.
Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry supports its students and employees with the most advanced physical, technological, and other educational resources that will enable them to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to accommodate and contribute to the changing environment, technology, and treatment modalities. Provision of superior service to the community using contemporary educational methods, creation of an environment with continuous development utilizing the best materials in clinics equipped with high technology, and sharing the acquired experiences with our peers to support their professional development comprise the main principles adopted by the Faculty of Dentistry.
Student Clinics are highly advanced in terms of physical opportunities, and students deliver patient care under entirely sterile conditions that are very similar to a dental practice. Students also have the opportunity to watch ongoing operations at the operating theatre through mounted cameras and ask questions to the operator.
Apart from undergraduate education, the Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry also prioritizes post-graduate studies and is involved in sophisticated scientific research at an increasing pace. Reviews are underway for the accreditation of undergraduate education as well as master and Ph.D. education.
Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry had its first graduates in 2001. It is not only the most modern and contemporary education and health institution in Turkey, but it is also one of the few examples in the world in this field.
