Program Introduction:
As it was our plan to hold international programs every year at TUMS School of Dentistry, we have decided to follow our plan this year as well, but with a whole new structure. This year, due to the COVID-19 crisis, we have to continue our virtual programs. This year, we are planning a 2-day joint program entitled “Advancements in Treatment Approaches: Focusing on Emergency Cases” between Yeditepe University (YU), Turkey and Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Iran.
Prominent professors from TUMS and YU will share their knowledge and experiences by case presentation and discussion, focusing on emergency events. There are going to be lectures of Prosthodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics and Endodontics. The program will be held on the ZOOM platform. We are also going to record all lectures so that they will be available for further referrals. The aim of this program is to connect the students worldwide, with the goals of education and to provide the applicants with the top-notch knowledge available in the field of dentistry, so that they acquire new visions and learn something besides the routine classes.

Why join this program? What do you learn?
Emergency may occur during any dental practice; therefore, it is advised to be prepared enough. In this short program, the participants will get acquainted with some emergency cases and related treatments in dental practice. By attending this program, the applicants learn how to manage emergency cases in Endodontics, Restorative dentistry/ prosthodontics, Pedodontics/ Orthodontics, and OMF Surgery/ Periodontics departments.
