Restorative Dental Therapy is the branch of science that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of diseases involving the dental hard tissues of the mouth. The causes, pathologies, prevention methods, diagnosis and treatment of diseases occurring in the hard tissues of the teeth such as caries, abrasion, erosion, atrision, abfraction, anomalies, enamel hypoplasia and restoration of root canal treated teeth are the main topics of this branch of science. It meets the aesthetic, phonetic and functional needs of patients by using CAD/CAM materials and adhesive dentistry. Physiological and pathological tooth discoloration is primarily addressed with conservative treatments such as tooth whitening. Aesthetic dentistry is also an application area of this department. Problems with tooth alignment, shape, position anomalies, dieatama closure (interdental spaces), broken teeth and smile design can be treated with composite or porcelain laminates, which aim to achieve long-lasting restorations with minimally invasive treatment approaches. Restorative Dentistry also includes preventive approaches including fluoride application to minimize the risk of caries and prevent enamel loss.
